THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW

The University of Warsaw is both the largest university and the best research center in Poland. In 2016, UW celebrated the 200^th anniversary of its foundation. It was an opportunity for UW to remind everyone about the university's rich history and distinguished heritage, from which 5 Nobel prize winners have graduated, and to set future goals for itself.

The other group comprises participants of academic exchange programs the majority on the Erasmus+ programme. Most of the international students come from India, Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, China and Turkey. Study programs are offered not only at our 21 faculties, but also at interdisciplinary units, and academic and research centers.

EDUCATION

The University of Warsaw provides a wide range of programs in the humanities and social, exact, and natural sciences, Including about 30 English-language and 3 MBA programs.  In cooperation of first and second cycle studies which enable students can choose courses from 2000 foreign language courses. The University of Warsaw's system of language provision has been distinguished by the European Commission and awarded the European language label.

PHD STUDIES

The University of Warsaw provides over 30 doctoral programs, interdisciplinary and international held in English that are aimed especially at students from abroad. There is also a possibility to conduct a joint doctoral assessment process under co-tutelage agreements.

SHORT TERM STUDIES

The University of Warsaw provides international students at Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral levels with the opportunity for short-term studies (up to one academic year).
