Campus
Responding actively to the requests and requirements of
the rules of coexistence specific to student life, the University of Galati
pays special attention to the accommodation of students who come to study basis
of cooperation agreements or through international programs, teaching staff
from abroad and guests of our University on the occasion of conferences,
symposia, summer schools, doctoral committees, providing modern accommodation
according to European standards.
The accommodation, dining, and leisure spaces, located in
the heritage of the University of Galati in Galati, are made up of 11
dormitories, a restaurant canteen, a student chapel, two gyms, and a student
medical office. The accommodation capacity in the student dormitories exceeds
3000 places.

Counselling & Guidance Center
Operates within the University of Galati in Galati and
aims to support and guide pupils/ students in choosing an educational and/or
professional route through specific counselling and guidance activities that
will aim at guiding and counselling pupils/ students so that they be able to
optimally plan and manage their own educational and career path.

Residence
Permit
After entering Romania, you must obtain a residence
permit. This certifies your right to stay in Romania and can be obtained from
the territorial units of the General Inspectorate for immigration in the city
where you live.
To obtain a residence permit, you will have to submit a
series of documents in person at least 30 days before the expiry of the right
of residence granted by the visa.
Student
Camps
The Student Camp Programme is aimed at students enrolled
in full-time education at one of the university's bachelor's and master's
degree programs, aged up to 35 years old, and students who have completed all
subjects of study in the previous academic year. For students in the social
cases category (students orphaned by both parents, those from children's homes
or foster care, Roma, graduates of high schools in rural areas or towns with
less than 10,000 inhabitants, and those receiving social scholarships) and students
working in CCS or Student Federations, the criterion of passing the exams in
all subjects does not apply.
The camps take place during the summer holidays, in the
mountains or by the sea.
Students are entitled to free places in camps, within the
limit of the places allocated, on the basis of an application submitted to the
faculty, depending on the results obtained in their studies and the activity
carried out in an organized framework at various cultural, artistic,
scientific, sporting or voluntary events. Students also receive free
accommodation and meals for the duration of the camps.
Transport
All students enrolled in full-time education (bachelor's,
master's, doctorate) at state-accredited institutions, aged up to 30 years,
receive a 90% discount on domestic rail transport, according to the legislation
in force. Students who are orphans or come from children's homes will benefit
from free tickets.
Romanian/foreign students benefit from a 50% discount for
local transport. Orphan students or students from children's homes benefit from
free tickets. The 50% discount and free transport tickets for students are
issued on the basis of the student ID card for the current academic year and an
identity document.
Students receive a single monthly subscription with a 50%
discount or free of charge, as appropriate.
